Here's a special card for the Goddess of Dreams!

It's difficult now trying to re-live the excitement a lot of us felt last year about this show and the thought of seeing Gale weekly again.  And if this news had come in the UK at that time, we would have been absolutely ecstatic to hear it, but now ... well you know.     

Anyway, those Gale fans here who haven't ... um, had the pleasure of seeing it before ... you may be interested to know that Vanished is premiering here on Channel 5 at 10.00 pm Sunday, 3rd June, followed immediately at 11.00 pm by the second episode on Five US. 

All the TV listings I've read have been very upfront about it being "short lived" in the US, but I haven't seen any mention of the reason for that or mention of the stars, most of them being pretty unknown to the majority over here.

It'll be interesting to see the reception it, and Gale, receive.

As most of you already know from THIS POST, galedreamer went to see Randy in Amadeus on opening night.  We had originally discussed my going over there to see it with her, but unfortunately it wasn't possible this time.  So, in lieu of seeing Randy in the play, I asked her if she'd send me a playbill (she sent me the Equus one last year). 

This is what arrived in the post today!

Isn't she the nicest person in the world!  I love her!  Randy's a total sweetheart too! 

I can't believe what lovely people there are in this fandom.  :)))

While I'm here I really want to pick some brains.  Since getting a new laptop a couple of months ago I have been having trouble viewing certain images on lj.  Is there anyone out there who is computer literate enough to tell me exactly what is going on and how to fix it!  It seems that any photo uploaded to Photofucket I am able to view, but I have a couple of friends who, because of Photofucket's overzealous obscenity rules, have to use Weblogimages for certain pics!  Most of these I am unable to view.  Some of you may wonder why I'm so angry about this, but if I tell you that one of the friends whose images I can't always see is teary_eyed2,  you'll understand the seriousness of my situation!  Help!    *sobs*

"So I was bored and thought I would go hunting on my ONDEMAND system that came with my cable box (people who have this you know what I am taking about - forgive me, it's late, I am excited and not explaining well!) Bottom line - in the HBO section under series if you click on "Deadwood" and then page down to a little 6 minute clip called "David Milch: Uncut" near the very end you see this very quick clip of "Wyatt Earp" riding into town behind the stage coach!
I recognized him right away and proceeded to back it up and watch it again to be sure! You can tell it's him and he is in a grey suit!
Yes he looks very hot and my it does look like the boy knows how to ride a horse! It totally made my night! Just wanted to share! Off to bed, Brit #1"

I came across this photo whilst having a look at the East Broadway site.  I hadn't seen it before, so forgive me if you have, but look how far Gale has to bend down to be on a similar level to the others for the photo... it makes some interesting things happen to the front of his jeans too.  ;)

in which Gale, oops sorry, Rory is a hero.

This episode was recapped at Fandom Talk by a newbie, Ran, who seems to like Gale a lot more than usual recapper, Jane St. Clare, who was very unimpressed with Gale in his first episode "Determination".  It would also appear that some of us weren't imagining things when we saw "the look" at the end, Ran saw it too.  :)  I'm just posting the scenes with Gale, but you can read the whole recap HERE.  It is entertaining and I liked Ran's last thoughts on the show: "Will Kim tell Bob about being attacked? Will Rory cut his doggone hair? I think I'm hooked on this show, dang it!"

Kim's asking her boss, a scruffy, layered t-shirt type, for an advance on her next paycheck, saying thanks to her the station's ad revenues are better than they've been in a long time. Her boss changes the... wait a second... ::peers more closely::. Good Lord. Is that Brian Kinney? The image in my head has him shirtless and swaggering dick first in black leather pants, bangs falling in his eyes and his lip curled, exuding  effortless sex appeal and an almost criminal magnetism. This guy? Not so much.
